Sheri and I spent Monday preparing for the big work day Wednesday. Turns out we can extend the load behind the back axel two thirds of the wheel base. Our wheel base is 11 feet which means we can extend behind the rear axle almost 4 feet making the truck bed length up to 11 feet long.
35410. The load shall not extend to the rear more than two-thirds of the wheelbase. The wheelbase of a semitrailer is the distance between the rearmost axle of the towing vehicle and the rearmost axle of the semitrailer. (For more information, see the web page: Overhang — Load Length and Extension Limits.)
After much discussion, Sheri has decided to build the artwork 9 feet long. We can change it later if we want.
Michael inspected the truck and found a number of small things that need addressing. We also devised a game plan to remove the camper cab and truck bed Tuesday night.
I visited Stephen Bruce and asked him to impart some wisdom. He is such an amazing wealth of knowledge about changing the color of metals. I can’t wait to see what he and Sheri come up with!
